About
We built Map2Point because we kept losing each other
A small team obsessed with the fifteen minutes of a road trip that everyone forgets to plan for: staying together.
Why Map2Point exists
Every group road trip has the same moment: someone misses a turn, a phone dies, a gas stop turns into a 20-minute search for a parking lot big enough for six cars. Group texts and generic maps apps weren't built for a group traveling together — they're built for one person going one place. Map2Point is built for the group, from the first pin dropped to the last car pulling into the driveway.
What we care about
Safety first
Every interaction is designed to be usable by a driver at a glance — big targets, minimal chrome, nothing that demands their attention.
Real-time, for real
A shared map is only useful if it's actually live. We built our own real-time infrastructure rather than settling for a map that updates every 30 seconds.
Privacy by default
Your location is only ever shared with your own trip's participants, only while you choose to share it, never sold, never used for anything else.
The team
A distributed team of drivers, engineers, and one dog who really likes car windows.
